Our Foundation
The roots of Sarovar trace back to 1907, when Jethalal Laxmichand & Sons was established in the Princely State of Dolarana Vasna, Undivided India. Initially a trading company dealing in raw tobacco, Jethalal Laxmichand & Sons quickly earned a reputation for producing high-quality Bidi (hand-rolled cigarette), which gained popularity across the Regional Provinces of Bombay State. The company's dedication to quality helped it build a loyal customer base that trusted its products.
Following India's independence, Jethalal Laxmichand & Sons expanded its operations. While continuing its successful tobacco business, it diversified into general retail and food production, introducing a range of sweets and other food items to meet the evolving needs of the local community. This adaptability and forward-thinking approach allowed the company to thrive in the changing economic and cultural landscape of post-independence India.
